Kickoff Celebration You are invited to help kickoff this year's Black History Month celebration. The world renowned Muntu Dance Theater will be performing at this event. Please come out and enjoy live dance performances and wonderful ethnic foods.

"American Experience: The Murder of Emmett Till” w/Emmy winning producer Laurens Grant This is a screening of an award-winning documentary film about the Hate Crime that changed America forever. "Race Machine” Exhibit The University community will have the opportunity to use a state-of-the-art, computerized machine to alter their facial features to reveal how they would look if they were a part of a different ethnic group. We also invite the campus community to an open discussion about their experience with the "Race Machine” exhibit.

The goal of this forum is to represent the rich faith traditions and diverse cultures as they are expressed and celebrated in our campus community. Dinner will also be served at this event.

The Live Poetry Jam w/ Malik Yusef Join us as we host some of Chicago's premier poets including, Malik Yusef who is one of the country's top spoken word poets. He has been featured on HBO's Def Poetry and albums by critically acclaimed recording artists such as Carl Thomas and Common. The performance stage is also open to students, faculty and staff. Ebony Ball Come and have fun in downtown Chicago at Loyola's Water Tower Campus for a night of elegant dancing and recognition. This celebratory event is a Loyola tradition and an opportunity for students to share their achievements and culture with the campus community.
