| Alex Catiggay graduated from Aragon High School in San Mateo, California. He is currently a sophomore at Loyola University Chicago as a Psychology and English double major on the pre-law track. Alex has done Choy Ley Fut KungFu since age of 9. He has competed nationally and has won 3 grand championships in Martial Art Hand/Weapon Forms. He is a second-degree black belt. He taught Kung Fu, as well as helped lead the demonstration performance team from 7th grade until 12th grade. Alex has also been playing piano, writing compositions/performing music since age 5. He has over 12 piano compositions. When entering college in Chicago, Alex got instantly involved with the Admissions office as a student ambassador as well as Kapwa Filipino Student Organization. In his second year at Loyola, he has taken on two roles of leadership within Kapwa: AKB (Family/Social) Activities Co-Coordinator, as well as Cultural Dance Committee Person. He is also a sophomore tour guide within his ambassador role with admissions. Within the Office of Student Diversity &Multicultural Affairs, he is a student intern specializing in communications and data support. |
