3rd Annual Black Women's Retreat

"Sowing A Seed...Reaping A Legacy"

The Black Women's Retreat is a two day, off-campus conference that provides women with the knowledge and tools for personal success and motivation towards serving the whole community through leadership and excellence.

The retreat approaches the well-being and achievement of the University’s African-American community from a holistic perspective while providing an opportunity for participants to form and nurture profound connections with other influential women outside the classroom.

Initially, the Black Women's Retreat was launched as a part of Women's History Month and has become an annual part of our Women's History Month celebration. This year's 3rd Annual Black Women's Retreat will take place March 13th-15th.  The location is still to be determined.

This year's theme "Sowing A Seed...Reaping A Legacy" surrounds the central theme of passing the torch to the future generations of women that will soon occupy positions of leadership both in their campus community and the larger society as well.
