Safe Space Workshops

Safe Space Workshops are introductory sessions that work to assist individuals who wish to support the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA) community of Loyola University Chicago. 

Safe Space Workshops cover the following:

  • Definitions, terms, and symbols
  • LGBTQIA identity development
  • Skills to interrupt heterosexist and cissexist behaviors and attitudes
  • Resources for the LGBTQIA communities

Spring Semester Safe Space Training Dates:

Student Training:

Wednesday, February 17 from 3-6 PM. Location: I.C. 4th Floor

Faculty/Staff Training:

Monday, March 14 from 9:00-12:00 P.M. Location: McCormick Lounge

Combined Training (Faculty/Staff and Students):

Wednesday, April 13 from 12:00-3:00 P.M. Location: Damen MPR North
