Danielle Forchette, M.Ed.
Title/s: Academic Internship Program Manager
Office #: Sullivan Center 298
Danielle joined the Center for Experiential Learning as the Academic Internship Program Manager in 2014. In this role she hopes to draw on over fifteen years of engaging young people in authentic and meaningful volunteer, service-learning and internship experiences in their communities.
Before joining the CEL, Danielle worked with educators providing high-quality, action-oriented civic learning to middle and high school students. Prior to her work in school-based civics, she facilitated engagement within various settings, including non-partisan, issue-based campaigns, social service agencies, museums and foundations. At these organizations, Danielle was always inspired by the community members she worked with who dedicated themselves to activities such as advocacy, direct agency services, pro-bono work, fundraising, leadership, internships, service learning and community service projects.
As a manager of internship programming in multiple non-profit settings over the years, Danielle developed relationships with higher education faculty, staff and students, utilized best practices in school-community engagement, and coached organization staff to support student learning. She looks forward to working with students, faculty, staff, community partners and the CEL team to sustain and expand excellent academic internship experiences for Loyola students.
