Instructional Technology & Research Support (ITRS) is a service-oriented group committed to enriching the educational experience at Loyola University Chicago. Our mission is to assist faculty in their efforts to integrate technology into teaching, learning, and research for the purposes of improving the quality of education at Loyola. Hours of operation run parallel to when classes are in session and ITRS staff are readily-available for consultation at both lakeside campuses.
Campus-wide in Summer 2013! Sakai is a flexible open-source collaborative learning environment (CLE) that provides Loyola faculty, students, and staff with tools to support teaching and learning activities. Sakai can be used for courses, research projects, organizations, or groups. There are a number of training opportunities available. You can also login to Sakai and start using right away.
ITRS provides assistance for a wide variety of electronic classrooms and learning spaces at both the Lake Shore Campus and Water Tower Campus. Virtual tours and documentation for operating the systems in these spaces is available. Learn more »

ITRS supports statistical, QDA, and online survey applications that are available to Loyola students, faculty, and staff on open-access computing lab and office desktops. Supported applications include: HLM, Lisrel, IBM SPSS Modeler, IBM SPSS Statistics, Minitab, QSR NVivo, Opinio, SAS, SNAP Survey, and Systat.
