About

Ted Rogers is an experienced attorney, healthcare risk and compliance professional, educator and health care leader. Ted began his legal career in 2002 in private practice focusing on medical malpractice litigation. Additionally, Ted served as State Director of Risk Management and Compliance for Kindred Healthcare for eleven years, managing all aspects of enterprise risk, quality and patient safety, organizational ethics, compliance as well as malpractice claims for hospitals, skilled nursing centers and home health/hospices in five states. Currently, Ted serves as Chief Nursing Officer at Broughton Hospital, a large state-operated psychiatric facility in Morganton, NC. Ted also provides independent comprehensive risk management and compliance consultation and services for health care organizations and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) by the American Hospital Association. Ted developed and taught online legal, risk and compliance classes for health care providers and health care leaders with Northwest Area Health Education Center at Wake Forest Baptist University in Winston-Salem, NC. In addition to teaching for Loyola University Chicago, he also serves as adjunct faculty for Emory University School of Law, the University of Denver’s Masters in Healthcare Management Program and Western Carolina University Masters in Nursing Leadership Program.
