Dean's Welcome

Welcome to the Niehoff School of Nursing at Loyola University Chicago. We are pleased to have this opportunity to tell you about nursing education at Loyola. The school is known for its graduates, who are knowledgeable, caring and competent practitioners, educators, administrators and researchers.

The Niehoff School of Nursing, the first accredited collegiate nursing school in Illinois, offers a range of educational options, from baccalaureate degrees through a Ph.D. in nursing.

Our master's degree program has been rated in the top 10 percent of all NLN-accredited programs by U.S. News & World Report's annual ranking of best graduate schools. The staff, faculty and administrators of the school are committed to providing quality educational experiences for our students.

As a part of our mission as a Jesuit university, we strive to prepare "a cura personalis," a person for others. To this end we offer students experiences in multiple health-care environments, both locally and internationally, in Rome and Belize.

To learn more about the school's programs, activities and resources, I encourage you to explore this site—and revisit it often—to stay connected to us. I look forward to seeing you soon on campus.
