The Campaign for the Future of Loyola

Faculty and staff shatter giving record

Support from Loyola's front lines

While the focus of the "Partner" campaign is on encouraging support from alumni and friends, the gifts given by Loyola's front-line ambassadors--faculty and staff--are also extremely important. These gifts not only help Loyola reach our $500 million goal, they also show that Loyola's employees believe in the University's mission. This year, the faculty and staff members at Loyola broke an all-time giving record, providing $280,000 in support from over 300 individuals.

Susana Cavallo, associate director of the John Felice Rome Center and professor of Spanish, is a faculty donor who supports Loyola because she is deeply committed to Jesuit education. "Loyola is my second home, the site of my entire adult career," she says. "Loyola has given me the opportunity to assist in the formation of young people and to flourish as a scholar."

"Gifts from faculty and staff--no matter the size--are meaningful because they show that those who spend their days at the University are really committed to its future," says Jonathan Heintzelman, vice president of advancement.
