College of Arts & Sciences

For 135 years, the College of Arts & Sciences at Loyola University Chicago has been preparing young men and women for fulfilling careers that benefit not only themselves, but their community, and even the whole world. Dedicated to the Jesuit, Catholic ideal of cura personalis, or "care for the whole person," CAS is devoted to providing every student with a strong foundation in the liberal arts.

Graduate School

Loyola University Chicago's Graduate School is a unique alliance of scholarship and devotion to service. Our Graduate School offers our students the chance to harness their intellectual power to not only pursue knowledge, but to serve humanity. Our more than 600 graduate faculty members are devoted to mentoring our 1,500 graduate students as they engage in research, teaching, and learning.


Institute of Pastoral Studies

Loyola University Chicago's Institute of Pastoral Studies prepares people for spiritual leadership in church, society, and the professions through six master's degree and numerous graduate certificate programs.


John Felice Rome Center

With more than 40 academic courses, students from 35 U.S. universities in a typical term, and a city that needs no introduction, the JFRC is one of the world's great study-abroad opportunities.

Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing

The Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing at Loyola University Chicago is proud to educate caring and competent professionals, educators, researchers, and administrators. The first accredited nursing school in Illinois, the Niehoff School of Nursing has been rated in the top 10 percent of all NLN accredited programs by U.S News and World Report.

Mundelein College/Gannon Center

The Ann Ida Gannon, BVM, Center for Women and Leadership extends the distinguished heritage of Mundelein College and enriches Loyola by focusing on women's studies and scholarship. The thriving set of programs and events sponsored by the Gannon Center encourages and supports the leadership of women at Loyola and in the surrounding community.

School of Business Administration

Loyola University Chicago's School of Business Administration prepares undergraduates with the skills, training, and values necessary to not just enter the workforce, but to be a force at work. *New* School of Communication

Headquartered at the Water Tower Campus in the new Claire building, the School of Communication trains students in fields such as public relations, communication, journalism, and media studies. This is a collaborative community of scholars and professionals who teach in the Jesuit tradition. The School offers a strong liberal arts education for students who will work in a professional setting.


School of Continuing & Professional Studies

Jesuit ideals demand that learning not end on graduation day, or on any day. The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) at Loyola University Chicago carries on Loyola's support of adults who are driven to advance their education. Like its predecessors, including University College, Mundelein College of Loyola, and the School of Professional Studies, the SCPS offers classes and application-oriented programs that prepare students of all ages for an ever-changing workplace.


School of Education

Loyola University Chicago's School of Education (SOE) sees education as not just a profession, but a calling. At the start of the 21st century, the SOE reaches back 500 years to its Jesuit roots in envisioning education as an opportunity to make the world a better place.
