The Campaign for the Future of Loyola

Spiritual development

Loyola's evolving mission of faith

While maintaining our Jesuit, Catholic heritage, Loyola strives to be a home for all faiths, and invites every member of our community to engage in spiritual practice and discussion as essential components of an education. There are several programs at Loyola that promote spiritual life on campus. All of them need your support.

Mission and Ministry

The Division of Mission and Ministry encourages not only reflection, but also action motivated by faith. Whether it's performing service in the local community, participating in liturgical life on campus, or becoming active in one of numerous faith-based student groups, Mission and Ministry makes countless programs and opportunities available to the entire Loyola community that deepen faith, understanding, and promote justice.

Evoke

Loyola's Evoke (Encouraging Vocation through Knowledge and Experience) program challenges students to ask tough questions of themselves now so that they can make good life and career decisions later. Evoke is an initiative designed to raise Loyolans' awareness of their callings and to deepen their understandings of it through targeted programs, workshops, and courses.

Retreats

Loyola University Chicago's University Ministry is committed to providing a variety of retreats for spiritual growth and development. In its promise to be a home for all faiths, University Ministry offers several retreats open to the entire Loyola community. Retreats range from silent, Ignatian periods of deep spiritual reflection to explorations of Christian faith and effective leadership.
