Patricia A. Findley, DrPH, MSW ’89, LCSW, has been appointed as Dean of the School of Social Work, effective July 1. As a graduate of the School of Social Work, Dean Findley has embodied the mission of Loyola throughout a life of devoted service, scholarship, clinical practice, and higher education leadership. Loyola University Chicago and Duke University Researchers Find Working-Class Representation in State Legislatures Stagnant in 2023
In a recent national study of the occupational backgrounds of state legislators, researchers at Loyola University Chicago and Duke University found that out of more than 7,300 lawmakers nationwide, just 116 (1.6 percent) currently or last worked in manual labor, service industry, clerical, or labor union jobs. Board of Trustees Approves 2024-2025 Operating Budget Including Tuition and Fees
The Board of Trustees of Loyola University Chicago has approved the University’s 2024-2025 operating budget. The budget sets the undergraduate tuition for the upcoming academic year at $52,230, a 3.9% ($1,960) increase. Tuition for graduate and professional programs will increase 3.5% on average. The budget anticipates that the University will fund over $302 million in financial assistance to students, a $17 million (6%) increase from the current year.READ MORE -

Loyola University Chicago Commits to Clean Power in Illinois
Loyola University Chicago today announced that the University has signed an agreement in partnership with Constellation to purchase power from a new solar project under development in Sangamon and Morgan Counties in Illinois. Developed by renewable energy developer, owner and operator Swift Current Energy, the project—named “Double Black Diamond”—will be the largest solar farm in Illinois and among the largest solar projects in the country, and provide enough electricity to completely power the University’s Lake Shore, Water Tower, and Health Sciences Campuses.READ MORE -

Board of Trustees Approves 2023-2024 Operating Budget Including Tuition and Fees
The Board of Trustees of Loyola University Chicago has approved the University’s 2023-2024 operating budget. The budget sets the undergraduate tuition for the upcoming academic year at $50,270, a 4.5% ($2,170) increase. Tuition for graduate and professional programs will increase up to 4.3%. The University will self-fund an additional $15 million in financial assistance to students, a 5.5% increase from the current year. This will increase Loyola’s overall University financial aid to over $280 million next year. READ MORE -
