File Sharing
There are legal ways to share music, and ways to share music which violate the rights of the copyright holders. Sharing music legally lets you listen to all sorts of new music. Sharing music without respecting the rights of the copyright holders can lead to DMCA notices and possible lawsuits. Please see the ITS site regarding file sharing.
Mobile Devices
To help protect Loyola's network, all devices that connect to the network must registered including mobile devices such as cellphones, iphones/ipod touch. Follow this link for registration information as well as configuring your iMap client as a method of accessing your Loyola GroupWise account.
Printers

Routers
Routers are allowed on Loyola's network if you live in a residence hall without a wireless service. Routers will have to be configured with the steps outlined in the link above to work properly on our network.
Staying Safe
There are companies that will provide free security software for non-commercial use. While Loyola University Chicago does not endorse or support any specific company, you should be aware of your options for free security protection. Select this link if you wish to find free security software.
Video Game Systems
