Sammy R. Danna, a full professor of Communication at Loyola since 1980, taught Public Speaking and Critical Thinking, Mass Communication Law and a Special Topics course on the History of Advertising. He is the author of more than 70 articles, monographs and book chapters. He has delivered many papers and chaired sessions at the Popular Culture Association national and regional conventions since 1980. In addition, he has chaired the PCA Advertising Area since 1985.
Dr. Danna retired from teaching in 2012.
Dr. Danna received his Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He also holds three masters degrees, in speech education, secondary/higher education and in theology.
