Credit by Exam

Give your past work the recognition it deserves

Undergraduates can earn credit and advanced placement for college-level studies before they even step on Loyola's campus through:

  • Advanced Placement (AP)
  • College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) examination
  • Cambridge International Examinations

New, first-time freshmen can receive up to 36 hours of credit based on AP/IB/CLEP/Cambridge test results. If you also have transfer credit, the total of your test score credit and transferable credit cannot be more than 36 semester hours.

All AP, IB, and Cambridge examinations must be completed before enrollment.
