IIP is a non-partisan, independent academic center that promotes investor protection for the individual consumer and the public. We seek to shape policy issues affecting investors. Investors are protected by securities laws governing their investment decisions. These laws require the disclosure of relevant information. Our goal is to educate investors about the private remedies Congress and the judiciary envisioned would deter disclosure violations and make aggrieved investors whole. Leading jurists, scholars, expert witnesses and litigators from across the country come together to explore topics that include the practical implications of securities laws and consumer protection acts.
