Fran Seabright Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research
The intricate task of accommodating diverse learning styles presents a considerable challenge for educators, especially within the expansive lecture classes of organic chemistry. In response to this challenge, a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning project was initiated by Anna Buttell and Dr. Polina Pine. Their commendable efforts garnered recognition at the Iota Sigma Pi Symposium on February 24th, 2024, where their work was honored with the prestigious Fran Seabright Award for excellence in undergraduate research as a 2nd best poster. The accolade was specifically bestowed upon Anna for their insightful poster presentation delving into the topic of "Learning challenging chemistry concepts through cartoon representation."
