Welcome to the start of your Rambler Journey!
We are beyond excited to welcome you to campus this summer at Loyola University Chicago Orientation (or LUCO), which will be your first steps towards the start of your college experience. During your one and a half day LUCO session, you'll be supported by our dedicated team of Orientation Leaders who are here to help you discover what being a Rambler means to you and how you'll fit in to Loyola in the fall. Make sure to read through the entire schedule in this program so you can be best prepared for what’s coming next.
Day One Schedule
Morning - 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

*Mapping Your Orientation
Damen Cinema, Damen Student Center, 8:45 a.m., 9:15 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 10:15 a.m., and 10:45 a.m.
Orientation leaders will present an overview of the orientation program and schedule, help you navigate campus, and share recommendations on how to make the most of your time on campus.
*Thriving at Loyola (Wellness Center) & Dollars and Sense (Bursar’s Office)
Damen MPR South, Damen Student Center (2nd Floor) 9:15a.m., 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m.
This session, led by the Bursar’s Office, surrounds helping guide families in managing student educational expenses related to payment plans, tuition insurance, and more.
Learn about the services provided to students by the Wellness Center and discover how we can partner together to help your health and well-being thrive at Loyola.

Parents as Partners (Office of the Dean of Students)

In this session, led by the Office of the Dean of Students, learn more about this period of transition and growth for your student as they begin their educational journey at Loyola, and how you as a parent or family member can play a supportive and empowering role as they navigate their first year in college.
Getting Around at Loyola (Campus Transportation)
Galvin Auditorium, Sullivan Center for Student Services, 2:00 – 2:30 p.m.
Learn about services provided to students by the Campus Transportation and UPass offices to get your students around our lakeside campuses and the City of Chicago
Residence Life @ LUC (Department of Residence Life)

In this session, learn more about the place your student will be calling home! In the Residence Life presentation, staff will detail the university residency requirement and share more about the residential experience. In addition, there will be an overview of how their office enhances the development of each student.

This session will review your student's role in being a responsible, caring, and accountable member of our community, including important resources from Campus Safety and Loyola's Community Standards.

Learn about the resources and opportunities available to help students explore their interests, validate potential career paths, and prepare for the future.
