Education
Our faculty are involved with clinical supervision, didactic teaching, and research mentorship for medical students, residents and fellows. We train up to 12 fellows and promote their development into clinical leaders in the field.
The Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship is a rigorous, ACGME-accredited three-year program designed to cultivate excellence in clinical care, education, and research. Our fellows train in a quaternary care academic medical center and benefit from a broad clinical experience that includes general gastroenterology, transplant hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), motility disorders, pancreaticobiliary disease, and interventional endoscopy.
Research
Our research program focuses on advancing patient care through clinical and translational studies in gastroenterology. Key areas include use of innovative devices and techniques in interventional endoscopy, exploring the role of behavioral medicine in disorders of gut-brain interaction, and improving outcomes for individuals with inflammatory bowel disease through clinical trials and outcome-based research.
