Get ahead academically by earning college credit and interacting with Loyola's expert faculty. As a Pre-Collegiate Summer Scholar, you'll meet new friends and discover what it's like to be a college student at Loyola.
We welcome international students from abroad and those already in the United States with legal status. One of our goals is to develop a social structure that will foster a broad cross-cultural exchange between our student population as well as the community at large - Come and join us to experience life as a Loyola University Chicago student!
This new program is designed to prepare students for undergraduate studies. These courses will help to jumpstart your college careers by fulfilling prerequisites and building foundational knowledge in your chosen subject.
Our Environmental Sustainability and Stewardship course puts you in an outdoor classroom that spans more than 100 acres of woods, prairies, and wetlands. This one-week mini-course provides students the opportunity to participate in a ropes course, a controlled burn, and sustainable farming. Participation in this program will be an incredible summer of enriching educational experiences.

The Pre-Collegiate Summer Scholars program wants to offer a little guidance as you prepare for your summer here at Loyola. While the focus is providing you with a rigorous academic and learning environment, we know the social aspect is also an integral part of the program. Some of the most important college experiences happen outside the classroom. Our staff goes to great lengths to develop a Calendar of Events which encompass an array of academic, social and community service opportunities for you. Participation in these activities will help you meet new people, broaden your horizons and create memories which will last a lifetime!!
