Academics

The Data Science program started at Loyola in the Fall of 2019 with undergraduate students having the option to major or minor in Data Science.  Since then, Loyola has graduated its first undergraduate Data Science majors as well as expanded its offerings for students.  Starting in the Fall of 2022, students will now have the opportunity to pursue a Master's Degree in Data Science, including a B.S./M.S. option for undergraduates who wish to earn an accelerated M.S. in Data Science.  The Data Science program at Loyola University Chicago is supported primarily by faculty from the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics who have years of expertise in fields such as statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, databases, and computer programming.
