Camille Morhun
2026 Fulbright Open Study and Research grantee
Congratulations to Camille Morhun who was awarded a Fulbright Study and Research grant to Chile!
When asked what winning the the Fulbright Study and Research grant means to them, Camille said:
'First off I would like to acknowledge the fellowship office in this exciting achievement of my Fulbright research award to Chile. Without you and Ruth’s thoughtful advising, detailing and caring editing and fabulous questions you guided me through, I would not have been able to craft a successful Fulbright application.
I’m so excited to further establish myself as an academic with the Fulbright open study/ research award to Chile that I have been awarded. This Fulbright award will help me lay the ground work for my future doctoral studies in international development and further support my global education by living abroad and conducting independent research, inspired by and in collaboration with my mentors at LUC.
I’m looking forward to building on my career as a medical social worker and hope that Fulbright will help me transition from micro clinical practice to macro work, and further hone my investigative research skills. It will be wonderful to be back in academia full time.
This has been a dream many years in the making, and I’m delighted to have the support of Fulbright and Loyola in continuing my academic collaborations with Dr. Vidal, Loyola University Chicago, the Jesuit Migrant Network including Universidad Alberto Hurtado. Additionally, I’m thrilled to begin collaborating with the Centro de Salud Global Intercultural in Santiago. I am honored to be a Fulbright scholar and am so grateful for your support in this endeavor!!"
