How-To Series
The Fall 2023 How-To Series includes 3 Structured Writing Groups (SWG), and will be running from September 14 through November 10 via Zoom.
To register for this semester's SWGs, please click here. Lesson recordings and slides will be uploaded below.
What is a Structured Writing Group (SWG)?
SWGs will be led by senior faculty who will serve as facilitators on 3 different topics. Across the semester, facilitators will meet with a group of faculty for 1 hour via Zoom to support faculty’s efforts to:
- Develop a regular writing practice
- Put writing tips into practice while balancing teaching, service, and research responsibilities
In the first 15-20 minutes of each session, the facilitator will present on their particular SWG topic. We also encourage faculty to use part of this time to share their writing experiences with one another.
The final 40-45 minutes of each session will be devoted to writing time, and faculty can feel free to ask questions.
All TT/NTT faculty are welcome. To register for one, two, or all three series, please click here!
