Loyola magazine is published three times a year for alumni and friends of Loyola University Chicago. The magazine reaches an audience of roughly 150,000 homes, schools, and businesses, with a mission of engaging and building connections among Loyola’s large external community. The stories in each issue of Loyola magazine highlight the many people and organizations carrying out the University’s Jesuit, Catholic mission both on campus and around the globe.
Loyola magazine aims to present a diversity of voices, including faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Most stories are written on assignment, but we are happy to consider pitches from freelance writers. If you are interested in writing a story for Loyola magazine, please send a short summary (one paragraph) of your story idea along with 2-3 writing samples.
Loyola alumni interested in contributing personal essays about their experiences at and after Loyola are encouraged to submit their stories for our Alumni Voices section. Alumni can send a short synopsis of their story proposal or a completed draft of no more than 700 words.
All submissions can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
