Geni Harclerode, MA
Assistant Vice President for Career Services
Geni Harclerode (she/her) serves as the Assistant Vice President for Career Services at Loyola University Chicago. In this role, she provides leadership and strategic vision for the Career Services teams that collectively support undergraduate, graduate, and professional students across each of Loyola’s schools and colleges, including Arrupe College. She also serves as a member of the senior leadership team for the Division of Student Success. Geni is an experienced university career services professional, previously holding positions at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and Northwestern University where she received the 2021 Distinguished Service Award for significant contribution to the field. She was an adjunct at Eastern Michigan University's Higher Education/Student Affairs graduate program.
Geni has perspectives on student career development have appeared in outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, the NASPA Leadership Exchange, US News and World Report, and CNBC. Her past national presentations include the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), The Career Leadership Collective, The Association for Institutional Research (AIR), and the American College Personnel Association (ACPA). She was co-facilitator on a NACE taskforce examining career pathways and Vice-Chair for the Hire Big Ten Plus Career Consortium. She is currently a member of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and University’s Career Services Leadership Network.
Geni holds a bachelor's degree in women's and gender studies and a master of arts degree in higher education administration, both from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
