Scholarships Automatically Awarded with Admission

Academic Scholarships: Freshmen Entering Fall 2014

Presidential, Damen, Loyola, Trustee, and Dean's Scholarships
These scholarships are awarded to academically qualified students based on information provided in the admission application process, without regard to financial need.  Scholarship amounts range form $13,000 to $18,000 per year.

Academic Scholarships: Transfers Entering Fall 2014

These scholarships, which range from $7,000 to $10,000 per year, are offered to academically qualified undergraduate transfer students, who have a minimum of 30 credit hours of transferable coursework. Scholarships are renewable for up to three years if students maintain a 3.0 - 3.4 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and complete at least 12 credit hours each term.

Note: Scholarships are renewed at the award amount applicable to the student's first year of enrollment.

Academic scholarship recipients are expected to maintain full time enrollment and a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA).  Please visit the Scholarship Renewal Policy for further information.

Mid-Year Transfers with less than 30 hours:

Students transferring to Loyola for the Spring Semester with less than 30 hours of transferable credit will not receive scholarship consideration until an official transcript from the Fall Semester has been received.

RAMBLER AWARD FOR FRESHMEN ENTERING FALL 2014

New freshmen will be considered for a $30,000 Rambler Award at the time of admission.  This award will be in recognition of the student's academic achievements and commitment to service and leadership.  The Rambler Award provides $7,500 annually toward tuition.  Students must be admitted by February 1 to receive consideration.  Students eligible for any of Loyola's merit scholarships are not eligible for the Rambler Award.  Any student originally awarded the Rambler Award who later qualifies for a merit scholarship, will see the Rambler Award replaced by the merit scholarship.

Heritage Awards for Freshmen

Chicago Catholic Heritage Award
This award (awarded for four consecutive years of full-time enrollment) is made to new freshmen graduating from Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago and the Diocese of Joliet http://www.dioceseofjoliet.org/cso/highSchools.asp.  This award is restricted to tuition.

Jesuit Heritage Award
This award (awarded for four consecutive years of full-time enrollment) is made to new freshmen graduating from Jesuit high schools who are member schools of the Jesuit Secondary Education Association in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada http://www.jsea.org/, or new freshmen graduating from recognized Cristo Rey Network high schools.  This award is restricted to tuition. 

Students graduating from a Jesuit high school in Chicago will be awarded the Jesuit Heritage Award only.
