1870 Orientation is a family-oriented event, and we hope that you will join us for a variety of activities for parents and incoming students. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to easing your family's transition to Loyola and we're here to help during every step of the process.
Each year, first-year students are invited to share their reflections on the First-Year Text in what might be their first college essay. This is an opportunity to engage a piece of written work and relate it to the themes that define a Loyola education.
This is an opportunity for Loyola students to gather as a community of learners. Each year, the Communities in Conversation series of speakers, workshops, films, and discussions focus on a theme from the First-Year Text, and features a variety of individuals connected to the Loyola community.
