Foreign Language Graphic Novel Contest Winners Announced!

Foreign Language Graphic Novel Contest Winners Announced!

In American and British usage, a graphic novel is a textual work that combines words and graphics, similar to a comic book. However, the phrase is most often used to describe a full story that is published as a book as opposed to a periodical. Many consider Eisner's A Contract with God, and Other Tenement Stories (1978) to be one of the most significant early instances of the graphic novel in the United States, despite the fact that it is nearly impossible to pinpoint a single work as the first graphic novel. To continue this tradition and add our own spin to it, the Language Learning Resource Center held a graphic novel contest that had to include original artwork and be written in a language other than English.
