Loyola Alpha Sigma Nu Chapter named 2025-2026 Chapter of the Year

The Loyola University Chicago chapter of Alpha Sigma Nu was named a 2025-2026 Chapter of the Year by Alpha Sigma Nu, the honor society of Jesuit colleges and universities. This recognition celebrates Loyola’s commitment to the Jesuit values of scholarship, loyalty, and service. Founded in 1938, the Loyola chapter has exemplified the ideals of Jesuit education through its rigorous academic standards, vibrant campus engagement, and dedication to community service.
The Chapter of the Year award highlights Loyola’s campus engagement, outstanding chapter leadership, and communication initiatives that have enriched both the chapter and national organization. In 2025-2026, the chapter was led by student officers Trevor Rowe '26 (chapter president), Tofa Oteju '26 (chapter vice president), and Mia Grace Conti Mica '26 (chapter communications and outreach officer). In 2025, the chapter honored the accomplishments of 167 new inductees as well as four honorary members, including Clement V. Martin, President of Christ the King Jesuit College Prep in Chicago, who served as keynote speaker at the induction ceremony.
The Alpha Sigma Nu students at Loyola consistently demonstrate leadership in various capacities across the campus. As representatives of the top 5% of undergraduate juniors, seniors, and graduate students who have completed at least half of their credits, the members understand and model the importance of being persons for and with others for the greater glory of God. The lifelong membership in Alpha Sigma Nu means members are committed to a lifetime pursuit of intellectual development, deepening Ignatian spirituality, service to others, and the core principles of Jesuit education.

"The support from the university leadership, continued collaboration with Mission Integration, and renewed outreach to the Jesuit community is worthy of praise and honor. Loyola University Chicago’s chapter has demonstrated thoughtful growth and dedication in forming a collective committed to expanding both Alpha Sigma Nu’s purpose on campus and the shared mission of the global network."
