Bob Akers has developed over the past 5 years the advertising creative major in the School of Communications. He teaches courses including Introduction to Creative Concepts, Advertising Design, Advertising Copywriting as well as portfolio classes. In addition, he was the first to launch a podcast using the podcast studio at the School of Communications called Getting A Foot in the Door. Prior to teaching at Loyola, he spent 25 years at advertising agencies in Chicago, lastly as an Executive Vice President, Executive Creative Director at Leo Burnett.
Drawing from his experience as a copywriter in ad agencies, Bob will share his knowledge for writing a script for podcasts as well as developing your unique brand message.
He is very well versed with organizing guests for podcasts, editing tools, the equipment needed for recording, and launching on the various podcast hosts available today which he’ll share in this course.
