Dawn Reiss is an award-winning reporter in Chicago who has driven to every NFL city in the country, eaten crickets in Cambodia, gone dog sledding in Alaska, interviewed the likes of Maya Angelou, Magic Johnson and Bob Costas for stories, covered small business and investing trends and spent two years covering the trial of former governor Rod Blagojevich for TIME and Time.com. She served as president of the Chicago Headline Club, the largest Society of Professional Journalists chapter in the U.S., taught magazine reporting at DePaul University, gave a TEDx at UIC about Why Context Matters and has worked as an editor and managing editor. She began her career as a staff writer at the Dallas Morning News and Tampa Bay Times.
