Hagans-Jones Consulting LLC

Dr. Sharonda Hagans-Jones has spent over 15 years as an educator in the PK-12 sector. This experience guided her decision to create equitable academic options for students with special needs and those in underrepresented populations. Her commitment to closing achievement gaps ultimately translated to identifying unconventional pathways and partnerships, while collaborating with non-traditional stakeholders in underserved communities. This strategic framework leveraged opportunities for Dr. Jones’ work to be utilized in school systems and organizations in New Orleans, Baltimore, and Washington DC.

Her advocacy for the marginalized student is further exemplified through her involvement with like-minded organizations and institutions. She participated in The Urban Leaders for Equity and Diversity (ULEAD) Leadership Cohort for The Urban League of Greater New Orleans and is a member of the Southern University Alumni Federation. Dr. Jones is also an active member of the Board of Directors for Take the Lead NOLA; a non-profit organization that provides pre-employment transition services and coaching to individuals with disabilities. She serves on the Advisory Council for Escape the Shape and has recently joined the Advisory Council for the Executive Professional Education Center (EPEC) of Loyola University Chicago.

Dr. Jones is the owner of Hagans-Jones Consulting LLC, where they offer various organizational and educational support services, as well as online programming. She continues to hold the skill of teaching in high regard and believes it is directly tied to exposing learners of all backgrounds to access and opportunities.
