Lisa Morel

Lisa is an advisor with The Family Business Consulting Group where she works with family enterprises in planning and organizing for growth and continuity.

Her work is focused on the areas of family and corporate governance, in designing and implementing strategies that allow for effective decision-making processes and family harmony. She has guided families to develop family charters, implement family councils, build corporate boards with independent directors, draft policies for succession planning and is passionate about nextgen development.

As a member of a family business and current vice-president of its foundation, she brings first-hand experience of the challenges and joys of working together and navigating multiple roles in the unique path of being a family in business.

She has worked with clients across Latin America, Canada and the United States and is a frequent guest speaker at international conferences and leading universities in the areas of family business governance.

Prior to joining FBCG, Lisa successfully led the first consulting firm in this field in the Dominican Republic, where she received the National Association of Young Business Leaders (ANJE) Outstanding Member Award for her work in promoting family business continuity in the country and was invited to join its Board of Directors. Lisa has been included in the ranking of Mercado Magazine’s Top Forty Under Forty and among its list of 20 Women Gamechangers.

Lisa and her husband currently reside in Miami and are the parents to two children. She enjoys cultural photography and Formula 1 and is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
