Heladio Nava Xinol is from the community of La Yerbabuena, municipality of Ahuacuotzingo, and is a scientist and campesino promoter in ECCCOS, Epicenters of Campesino Community Sciences, a collective effort that revindicates community processes. He has dedicated himself to activities related to campesino and community life. He has collaborated with Grupo de Estudios Ambientales (GEA) since 2014 where he has co-designed and implemented community action plans - training for various socio-environmental projects. He has organized in various spaces at state, national and international levels, on issues of community agroecology, community water systems, ecotechnologies', and education - all aimed at caretaking of communal territories and strengthening community organizing.
