I have spent my whole career in higher education administration, primarily in student affairs (residence life, international students, Title IX, conduct, supervision, and team building). As I moved into higher leadership positions, I missed some of the direct contacts with students. I'm thrilled I get to work closely now with our passionate health sciences students in Parkinson. Prior to graduate school, my undergraduate majors were psychology, communication/theater, and later (while working full time) I completed a German major just for fun and created my own language immersion program in various cities in Germany.

Education
  • MS in Higher Education and Counseling, Iowa State University

Why is this area of study important at this point in time?

We are helping to prepare students who will make a difference in improving the public health in our communities and our world.

What called you to or attracted you to Loyola?

I was drawn to its mission of social justice and felt the Loyola community works hard to manifest its mission.
