Why do you enjoy working with adult learners?

They are earnest learners - i.e., they are here because they want to learn. Thus, they tend to be engaged, and have high expectations. They don't want to waste their time or their money. And neither do I!

Secondly, in general, they have "real-world" experience. So they understand why we are studying such things as communication concepts. They see the purpose, the value and the application. As business professionals, they more easily recognize how to put learnings and lessons to use right away! Having spent a lot of time in the "real-world" myself, (having worked for IBM and as an entrepreneur /coach & consultant), I find that I can bring value to the course with relevant real-life examples and experiences.

Lastly, - Maturity and wisdom. In general, they are forthright, accountable, and OK - there's not a lot of drama...and we still have fun on the learning journey.
