Online Learning
Delivering Flexibility to Adult Learners
We understand the needs of adult learners and we cater to those needs.
For more than a century, the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) at Loyola University Chicago has been educating adult learners and working professionals, empowering them to seize new professional opportunities and capture energizing new realities for themselves.
Beyond that track record, we also understand how to create vibrant learning environments that provide adult learners the flexibility and accessibility they need to develop new skills while tending to professional and personal responsibilities.
US News & World Report ranks Loyola’s online bachelor’s degree programs in its top 20, a signal of the excellence, value, and liveliness of our programs. Our online courses provide high-quality content and are taught by invested faculty. SCPS provides training and mentoring for faculty who teach online, and offers online orientation sessions and support to students who are enrolled, planning to enroll, or interested in learning more about online classes. Those efforts ensure a dynamic, productive experience for all involved.
In addition, online learning helps SCPS fulfill its mission of educational outreach and inclusiveness. By expanding opportunities for online learning, SCPS makes its programs more convenient and feasible for adult learners who wish to advance their education and their careers.
“One of the biggest advantages of [Loyola’s] program is that it allows me to pursue my studies entirely online which provides me the flexibility I need to travel. This helps balance my work, home, and student life.” Haeley Goldsmith ’17, an SCPS Fellow who worked full-time while pursuing her BA in Management
