Scholarships

Driving affordability and accessibility

The expense of higher education can be daunting, especially so for adult learners who often carry the entire weight of the investment.

To heighten access and affordability, the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) at Loyola University Chicago offers an array of internal scholarships to support our adult learners. In addition, we highlight applicable external scholarship opportunities for our students to further eliminate barriers to access, drive affordability, and empower student success.

“Loyola SCPS offers many scholarships that benefit students and help them achieve their goals.” Faye Chambers ’16

External Scholarship Opportunities

The U.S. Department of Labor maintains a comprehensive database of merit and need-based scholarships offered by individuals, private companies, nonprofits, communities, religious groups, social organizations, and other entities. You can search thousands of scholarships by visiting the Department of Education’s Scholarship page.

When SCPS learns about any external scholarships available to students, we communicate that and encourage those who meet a given scholarship’s criteria to apply.

Additional Scholarship Resources

You can discover additional scholarship opportunities by visiting the Loyola Scholarship Connection and the U.S. Department of Education’s Federal Student Aid website.

Finally, SCPS students should explore the resources offered by Loyola’s Financial Aid Office and the Office of the Bursar. Financial assistance is an individual process and these offices can assist you in discovering the best options to finance your education.
