The Department of Radiology is a fully-integrated academic and clinical department with a strong tradition of excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research. Its faculty are noted locally, nationally, and internationally for their clinical competence, innovative diagnostic/therapeutic methods, and academic excellence.

The Department of Radiology has a full complement of diagnostic and therapeutic facilities and equipment located at the hospitals and outpatient centers throughout Loyola University Health System. Loyola's state-of-the-art imaging equipment includes: general diagnostic, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, CT, MRI, interventional radiology, imaging informatics, 3D imaging laboratory, and PET/CT imaging.

Graduates of Loyola's ACGME-accredited Radiology Residency are leaders in academic and clinical practice throughout the country.
