Generosity Week
What is Generosity Week?
Legend states that the Loyola family was so generous that after feeding family and soldiers, they had enough food to feed the animals. This act of giving is represented by the two wolves and kettle depicted on Loyola's shield. We celebrate this act of kindness through Wolf & Kettle day. Born from Wolf & Kettle Day 2011, in 2012, there was a week when the Loyola community gave thanks and showed our own generosity.

Each event featured in Generosity Week aimed to spread the message of giving with the entire Loyola University Chicago community, including students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff. Every event included in Generosity Week, like balloons for faculty and staff donors, and the Rogers Park community outreach drive, served to share the message of generosity with each of these groups in a unique and meaningful way.
In 2014, we are going back to our roots where it all began. We will be taking many of the events that were spread over the course of Generosity Week, and expanding Wolf and Kettle Day itself. We want to ensure that our message is as strong as possible. Focusing all the excitement and energy that was spread over a week on one day will showcase what celebrating generosity to the fullest looks like! We are so happy and thankful for everyone who came out to the Damen Student Center and Terry Student Center on Thursday, March 20, 2014. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again in 2015!
