  • Terry Nelson-Johnson, 2014 Damen Award Recipient

    Terrence C. Nelson-Johnson, PhD (BS '80, MPS '82) is the 2014 recipient of Loyola University Chicago's Damen Award from the Institute of Pastoral Studies. Dr. Nelson-Johnson is the founder as well as a creative and animating partner of Soul Play LLC. Watch Video

    Alumni Spotlight: Manuel A. Ruiz (MAPC '05)

    Manuel A. Ruiz, MAPC was born in Colombia, where he worked as a professional psychologist and a college professor. He earned his master degree in pastoral counseling from Loyola University Chicago in 2005. He is currently a doctoral student in counseling psychology at Argosy University in DC. Mr. Ruiz joined the Family Crisis Center of Prince George’s County as a bilingual counselor in 2006.

    Alumni Spotlight: Joe Paprocki (BA ’81, MPS ‘85)

    Joe Paprocki, DMin, is the National Consultant for Faith Formation at Loyola Press, a Jesuit Ministry in Chicago. Joe has over 35 years experience in pastoral ministry including teaching, parish ministry, archdiocesan ministry, and Catholic publishing. He is a nationally-known and much sought after speaker, having presented in over 100 dioceses across North America. Joe has published numerous books on catechesis, spirituality, and pastoral ministry including the best-selling The Catechist's Toolbox, and his most recent, Under the Influence of Jesus: The Transforming Experience of Encountering Christ. Joe is a catechist and blogs about the experience at www.catechistsjourney.com. Joe and his wife Joanne, who have 2 grown children, live in Evergreen Park, IL.
