About the Center for Student Inclusion and Belonging

Our Mission

The Center for Student Inclusion and Belonging cultivates a campus community where ALL Ramblers can thrive through transformative experiences grounded in Ignatian values. We foster environments of inclusion, belonging, mutual respect, meaningful dialogue, and collaborative action where students develop as persons for and with others, equipped to lead in an ever-changing world.

Our Vision

We envision a Loyola University Chicago where every student experiences a profound sense of belonging, discovers their unique potential, and develops the skills to build bridges across differences. Through innovative programming, holistic support, and educational experiences, students will be prepared to create positive social change guided by principles of human dignity, social responsibility, and justice.

Our Core Values

Human Dignity

We recognize the inherent worth of every person as created in the image of God.

Sense of Belonging

We cultivate an environment where every member of our community feels accepted, connected, and supported as their authentic selves, recognizing that genuine belonging is foundational to student success and well-being.

Inclusive Excellence

We pursue academic and personal growth through the engagement of varied perspectives.

Social Responsibility

We cultivate leadership that serves the common good and addresses social challenges.

Authentic Dialogue

We foster environments where respectful conversation across differences leads to understanding.

Cultural Intelligence

We develop the capacity to relate and work effectively across different cultural contexts.

Transformative Education

We develop the capacity to relate and work effectively across different cultural contexts.

Pluralism

We curate a community that embraces and allows for the coexistence of multiple groups, cultures, beliefs, or ideologies, acknowledging and respecting their differences through dialogue, community, and engagement.
