FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2026
Women’s Volleyball vs. Virginia Commonwealth University
6:00 p.m. | Gentile Arena
Cheer on the two-time defending Atlantic 10 champion women’s volleyball team as the Ramblers host VCU inside Gentile Arena at 6:00 pm. Family Weekend attendees get free access to the game by showing their Family Weekend registration confirmation email at the Norville ticket office. Undergraduate students are free with their student ID.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2026
Check-In
9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. | Damen Den, Damen Student Center
When you arrive on campus, families who registered online should please check-in and pick up your Family Weekend wristbands to gain access to Family Weekend activities. Tickets for the Saturday evening Big Bus Tours, and the Family Weekend Concert will be available at the Check-In area while supplies last. Staff will be available in the Damen Den until 5 pm to welcome guests who are checking in, and to answer questions. On-site registration available until 1:00 p.m.
Climbing Wall
9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Halas Recreation Center
The Rock Wall will be open for families to climb. Staff will be available to assist climbers. Families who wish to use the climbing wall should bring comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Children must be 12 years or older to participate.
Group Fitness Classes
Time and Classes TBA | Halas Recreation Center
Take a morning group fitness class from one of our nationally-certified student instructors! Classes will fill on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to capacity. All equipment is provided and format will be updated at a later date. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the class start time to complete a waiver at our front desk. Children must be 12 years or older to participate.
Java with the Jesuits
9:30 - 11:00 a.m. | Ignatius House
The Jesuit Community invites you to join them for an Open House with coffee, tea, pastries, and good conversation.
Family Weekend Welcome
11:00 - 11:30 a.m. | Damen Student Center Atrium
Drop by the Damen Student Center Atrium, near the main information desk any time between 11:00 and 11:30 a.m. to be greeted by LU Wolf and other Loyola celebrities, and to experience our school spirit.
Lunch in the Dining Halls
11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Choice of Damen Dining, De Nobili Dining Hall, or Simpson Dining Hall
Families can enjoy lunch in one of the campus dining halls. Family Weekend guests will need to show their Family Weekend wristband for entry, and students with unlimited meal plans will be asked to swipe their cards. Lunch is only provided to Family Weekend guests in the dining halls, and only during the time period stated above.
Loyola Project Documentary
1:00 and 3:00 p.m. Showings | Damen Cinema
In 1963, at the height of the civil rights movement, the Loyola Chicago Ramblers broke racial barriers on their way to a national championship. Now, nearly 60 years later, this legendary team is reexamined by Loyola basketball player and co-captain, Lucas Williamson. Woven together with archival footage and modern-day interviews, this captivating story is surprisingly relevant to today's continued struggle for equality.

Self-Guided Campus Tours
2:00 - 4:00 p.m. | Lake Shore Campus
Families and their students can visit some of our favorite places on the Lake Shore Campus through an "open house" approach. We have identified a number of wonderful places that we recommend seeing, which are listed on the Self-Guided Tour webpage. Places include the Wolf and Kettle statue, the Information Commons, and the School of Sustainability’s greenhouse.
Conversation with the Muslim Chaplain
2:00 - 3:00 p.m. | Damen 235 (The Muslim Prayer Space)
Families are invited to meet and engage in conversation with Loyola's Muslim Chaplain. There will be a loose agenda for the event, with activities. All are welcome.
Big Bus Tours
Late Afternoon - Early Evening, Times TBA | Meet at the Fr. Damen Statue
Big Bus Tours is the largest operator of open-top sightseeing bus tours in the world. Enjoy a ride on an open-top, double-decker bus with an optional audio guide highlighting Chicago’s history, culture and architecture among downtown’s most popular sites. Tickets are available at Check-in, while supplies last.
Men’s Soccer vs. George Washington University
7:00 p.m. | Loyola Soccer Park
Head to Loyola Soccer Park to watch the men’s soccer team take on George Washington! Family Weekend attendees get free access to the game by showing their Family Weekend wristbands at Loyola Soccer Park. Free shuttle transportation will be provided for Family Weekend guests. Throughout the game, shuttles will make a continuous loop between the Fr. Damen statue (near the main parking garage) and Loyola Soccer Park, starting one hour prior to the game. For fans who wish to travel on their own, Loyola Soccer Park is located a mile west of campus at 6336 N. Hoyne Avenue. Free parking is available.
Family Weekend Concert
7:30 p.m. | Rooney Hall, Mundelein Center 1st Floor Auditorium
An outstanding concert experience featuring Loyola’s Symphony Orchestra, University Chorale, University Singers, and Wind Ensemble. A block of tickets has been reserved for registered Family Weekend participants; those tickets will be available (while supplies last) during the Family Weekend Check-In process in the Damen Den on Saturday starting at 9am. Family Movie
8:00 p.m. | Damen Cinema
The Department of Programming will host a showing of a family-friendly movie with popcorn in our cinema. The movie title will be shared here within the first few weeks of the fall semester.

Enjoy the celebration of the Eucharist in the beautiful chapel on Lake Shore Campus.
Parent & Family Town Hall Meeting
9:00 – 10:15 a.m. | Damen Den
Join us for a Town Hall meeting for parents and family members. Vice President of Student Development, Dr. Keith Champagne, will share updates. There will be time for discussion, and a chance to talk with other parents and family members. Coffee, tea, and pastries will be provided during the meeting.
Family Brunch
10 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Damen Dining Hall
Enjoy traditional brunch favorites. Family Weekend guests and LUC students who do not have meal plans can show their Family Weekend wristband at the entrance to the Damen Dining Hall, and students who have meal plans can use their meal cards.

Tour of the Madonna Della Strada Chapel
12:00 - 1:00 p.m. | Meet at the Back of the Chapel, near the Baptismal Font
Students and their families are invited to learn about the architecture, art, and symbolism of Madonna della Strada Chapel. Our tour will also include a behind the scenes look at the chapel crypt along with a demonstration of our majestic pipe organ.

Bookstore
The LUC bookstore on Sheridan Road and the L-Stop store in Damen Student Center will be open on Saturday from 9 AM - 4 PM and on Sunday from 10 AM - 3 PM. Coupons will be available at Check-In on Saturday.
