International Education Week

The Office of Global and Community Engagement will kick off International Education Week 2025 with Global Fest, a celebration of Loyola’s international engagement, on Friday, November 14th. Attendees can enjoy a variety of foods from local restaurants which highlight the cultural diversity of the Rogers Park and Edgewater neighborhoods. There will also be international music, entertainment, and prizes. 

Following Global Fest, International Education Week continues with a variety of globally-focused events, including career workshops, study abroad programming, cultural celebrations, a film screening, and networking opportunities. There is something for everyone throughout the week – Loyola students, staff, and faculty.  Scroll through our events to find the global engagement event that interests you!

Celebrate the start of International Education Week at Global Fest! Students, staff, and faculty are all invited to come together for an afternoon of global flavors, music, and connection as we honor Loyola’s rich international spirit.

International Film Screening – Minari (2020)

Join us in the screening and discussion of an award-winning film about a South Korean immigrant family who moves from California to an Arkansas farm in search of their own American Dream. The family home changes completely with the arrival of their sly, foul-mouthed, but incredibly loving grandmother. Amidst the instability and challenges of this new life in the rugged Ozarks, Minari shows the undeniable resilience of family and what really makes a home. Popcorn will be served!
