Where are you from?
I am professed religious brother of the order of friars minor Conventual from Kenya.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to run as I train for Marathons. I have run and completed Chicago Marathon in the past and plan to do it again sometimes in the future. I also enjoy gardening, reading, and watching European soccer on T.V.

How would you describe your role at St. Thomas of Canterbury?
To lead by example of service to everyone who seeks our assistance in humility and respect.

Why do you engage in the community?
As a Conventual Franciscan brother, this is part of what makes us who we are. Service to those in need among us.

What is one of your favorite stories from your experiences with Community Service and Action?
I have witnessed people come seeking help from us and their hearts getting touched by our humble service and in return, they request what they need to do to join us in serving others.

In the spirit of Sr. Jean and her belief in the goodness of people, where have you seen the goodness of others in your community engagement experiences?
The sacrifices our volunteers make all the time to serve others freely. Their dedication and time.

What advice would you give to an incoming college student at Loyola?
Find a community organization near Loyola to volunteer. St. Francis of Assisi said, “It is in giving that we receive.”

What is your favorite place in Chicago?
Lakefront trail.
