Casey McDowell

VP Global Procurement, Sourcing and Category Management, The Allstate Corporation

Casey McDowell serves as Vice President Global Procurement - Sourcing & Category Management at Allstate. Prior to joining Allstate, Casey was President of CPM International, L.L.C.; a supply chain business improvement practice that McDowell founded in 2001 where he’s had substantive engagements during select periods between 2001 to 2019. 

He recently held the position of Global Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer at NetJets where he was accountable for the global procurement and supply chain function supporting both direct operations and indirect support functions. Prior to this role, McDowell served as the Executive Vice President of Supply Chain Operations at Rolls-Royce Energy. He was also instrumental in the sale of this business to Siemens. Casey also served as the Group Executive Vice President, Corporate Sourcing and Supply Strategy/Management at Rolls-Royce, plc. based in the United Kingdom. He was responsible for the global enterprise category strategy development and associated sourcing and procurement for all direct and non-production (indirect) goods, including CAPEX and raw materials within the aerospace (civil/defense), energy, nuclear (civil/defense), and marine business sectors. 

McDowell was the Vice President of Administrative Operations and its first Chief Procurement Officer at AAA (The Auto Club Group). He also provided over 13 years of senior operations and supply management leadership within the high technology industry that included: senior vice president of operations and customer support services at a start-up e-market firm, Converge, along with executive/senior engineering and supply management leadership roles with Apple and IBM. 

McDowell currently serves on the Executive Advisory Board (EAB) for the Broad College of Business’ Supply Chain Management program at Michigan State University. He previously served on the board of trustees at CAPS Research and the editorial review board for the Institute for Supply Management’s monthly magazine, Inside Supply Management. He has also researched and published many articles, white papers, and textbook contributions in the field of procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management. A few of these contributions included: “The Supply Management Handbook; Chapter 11, Project 10X: The Value Proposition and Strategic Impact to Sourcing and Supply Effectiveness” published by McGraw-Hill Education, “Supplier Relationship Management: An Implementation Framework”, “Value Chain Strategies for the Changing Decade” and “Risk Management across the Extended Value Chain” published by CAPS Research. Additionally, articles published by Inside Supply Management, ISM’s monthly magazine; “Project Management Principles” and “Own Your Space”. 

McDowell is a fitness enthusiast and is an active runner and cyclist. Casey is a member of a cycling team supporting fund-raising events for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Multiple Sclerosis Association. 

McDowell has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Packaging Engineering from Michigan State University.
