Edward Tymick

Ed Tymick is the Vice President of Product Operations at Ciena. In this role, he is responsible for global supply planning, demand and inventory management, S&OP, New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing management. He has more than 25 years of experience in supply chain and logistics. Ed previously served as Vice President of Operations at Tellabs/Coriant, as well as similar roles at USRobotics/3Com, where he managed supply chain activities including outsourced manufacturing management, distribution, OEM/ODM procurement, reverse logistics, repair, and 3^rd party vendor managed inventory programs. Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Marquette University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Purdue University. Additionally, Ed served eight years as a Village Trustee for Western Springs, IL.
