National fellowships and scholarships are highly competitive, and applicants should begin working on them months in advance of deadlines. Your application will benefit by have multiple drafts revised, after reviews from multiple people. Fellowship Office staff are always eager to read your drafts, but it is important to have faculty members closely related to your chosen are of interest (and often geographic specialty) review your application as well.
