Loyola University Chicago

Institute for Paralegal Studies

Graduation and Commencement

All students must apply for graduation in LOCUS in order to receive their certificate.  For instructions on how to apply, please visit the Paralegal Studies Sakai page or contact our office.

Commencement

Paralegal Studies graduates participate in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) commencement. The cap and gown ceremony takes place in May of each year.  All graduates who completed their certificate in that academic year will be invited to attend.  Further information regarding Loyola's commencement ceremonies can be found on the Website.

SCPS Graduation Dinner

A special dinner to celebrate our graduates is held at the end of the Fall and Spring semesters.  It is important that you are registered in LOCUS for the correct graduation term in order to receive an invitation and updates for this event.  All graduates along with one guest are invited to attend.

Honors Certificate

An honors certificate is awarded if your cumulative GPA is 3.5 or higher at the time of graduation. The Lambda Epsilon Chi Honors Award is also awarded in June of every academic year.
