Loyola Community,

On Friday evening, Campus Safety received a report of a strong-armed robbery near Maguire Hall on the Water Tower Campus and a crime alert was sent to the campus community. We are writing today to inform you that after a complete investigation, we can confirm that the strong-armed robbery did NOT actually occur.

While this incident did not occur, we want to take the opportunity to remind you to remain alert and tuned in to your surroundings. In an incident like a strong-armed robbery, if a person threatens you, please follow any demands and run away as soon as it is safe to do so. Once you are in a safe place, immediately notify Campus Safety at 773.508.SAFE or the Chicago Police Department via 9-1-1 or 312.744.8263.
